Kinetic Energy - Fizziks Tilt Game
Do you know the difference between kinetic energy and potential energy?
Kinetic Energy is often referred to as "energy in motion". Potential energy is "stored energy". (It's not energy in motion, but it has the
potential to become energy in motion.) For example, if you were to lift up an object from the surface of the earth, you are increasing its
potential energy, and when you drop it, that potential energy becomes kinetic energy - energy in motion.
Playing Fizziks Tilt
When you hit a blue "E" in the Fizziks Tilt game, that is Bonus Energy, and you should think of it as potential energy. However, if your marble
passes through a gray "E", that is adding kinetic energy to your marble. In other words, your marble speeds up. Its direction does not change;
it continues at the same angle it was going, but gets faster.
Note that your marble passes through the Kinetic Energy object, and continually increases kinetic energy while it is touching the object.
