| Marcus and Lucetius |
Welcome back, everyone! I hope you all had a great summer. This year's BrainFood puzzles are going to be a mixed bag...there will be several "Word Associations", like last year's puzzles, but there will be a variety of other puzzles interspersed throughout.
Your first puzzle for this year is a coded message. The question is: What number is represented by the following coded message?
Marcus Can't Make Lucetius Violate Impressive Instructions. |

The primary clue to solving this puzzle is the two names, Marcus and Lucetius. These are Roman names, which hopefully will make you think of Roman Numerals.
Noticing that the first letter of each word is capitalized is the second clue, giving us:
MCMLVII, which is 1957 |
