What's the Value (or does it diverge?)
Find the value of the following integral, or show that it diverges.

Problem Moderated by: MrT
Problem Solution
Doing the integral from 0 to infinity gives lim (t->infinity) arctan x from 0 to t, which gives the lim (t->infinity) arctan t which equals pi/2. Since we are dealing with an even function, then the integral from negative infinity to 0 must also be pi/2. Adding these together gives the answer of pi.
