## Geometric Drops

The accelerations due to gravity on three different planets are three distinct values which are in geometric progression. If an object is dropped from a certain height on the three planets, the times it takes to hit the ground on the three planets are (in increasing order): 10 seconds, 12 seconds, and x seconds.

Find the value of x.

### Falling on Planet X

Jake falls from a certain height on Planet X, and takes twice as long to reach the ground as he would have if he had fallen from the same height on Planet Y. The acceleration due to gravity on Planet X is 5

What is the acceleration due to gravity on Planet X?

### Dropping the Ball

A ball is dropped from a certain height, and it takes 10 seconds to reach the ground. On planet X, the ball must be dropped from a height of 200 m if we want it to take the same amount of time to reach the ground.

If we dropped the ball from the same height as we dropped it on planet earth, what would be its velocity at the moment it hit the ground?
