Prepositions

A preposition is a word which shows the relation of a noun or pronoun to some other word in the sentence. The word connected is called the object of the preposition and together, with any words between, they are call a prepositional phrase.

Common prepositions are:

at to before over
by about behind since
for above below through
in across beneath throughout
into after between till
near against beyond under
of along during with
on around inside without
