"This is mostly a true story. I have had similar experiences in the past, such that Santa got tired of flat muffins and gave me a can of baking powder. "

Disappointment

The Great Baking Disappointment
1/2/11

I knew I shouldn’t have done it. I just thought I remembered how. Oh what a mistake! It was a miserable mess!

Flour
Sugar
Salt
Eggs
Milk
Oil
Blueberries

It was for my little brother’s birthday. I was pressed for time, and I scooped them into the pan. Then I put them in the oven and set the timer for twenty minutes. Then I went to wrap his present.

Ding! Ding! The timer went off. I hurried to the kitchen to check the muffins. Oh no! They weren’t burned, oh no, far from it. They were flat! Flat as pancake! I forgot the baking powder!
