The day my life changed

The day my life changed was one that i was destined to remember. I would never forget the trouble this odd characteristic of myself put me in. I doubt anyone has ever has experiences as difficult, or as treacherous as I've had. Enjoy.

I walked into the empty bank, unaware of what was going on. I believed it was just a normal day for me to receive my check, but I guess I was incorrect. The place was bare, except for what looked like a family of three huddled in the far right corner of the interior of the building. I eyed the place to see what was happening, when I came across a hold up at the far right counter.

I would decide to come at this time, because it was just my luck. I heard the robber faintly talking, but I couldn't comprehend what he was saying due to the fact he was Arabic. He had an immensely strong accent. "Hey," I yelled. "is there an issue buddy?"

He turned and exhanged with me the dirtiest look I have ever received. Once again he began to speak, and held the gun up. I still had no idea what he was trying to say, but he was shedding tears, and I couldn't help but feel bad. I took a few steps forward, and spoke softly. "hey, is something wrong?" That was the most stupid thing i could have said.

As I began to walk forward he loaded the gun. He motioned for me to step back, and I held my hands up, warning him I wasn't going to attempt anything. I opened my mouth one last time, and he fired, not even giving me time to speak. The bullet hit me square in the chest, and I instantly lost my breath and dropped to the floor. Although I didn't feel anything. No pain, nothing, and I was still alive.

I noticed the bullet expel from my chest and fall to the ground. I stood up with ease, and saw the wound close up through the tear in my shirt. This was the moment my life changed, and I knew I was suppose to be someone greater.
