Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

The following is a piece of writing submitted by devo on July 25, 2011
"I saw the timer, chose the first word that came to my mind and started writing about it. I can work well under pressure, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are any nonsensical or continuous errors in there. I never went over it and I wrote down whatever came to mind regardless of relevance.. Yeah, I need to improve."

Hunger - Freewrite

Hunger. Hunger can manifest itself in many different ways. It can appear in the more literal sense, the deprivation of food, or it could appear in the more abstract sense, the need for something. This is an interesting idea. Would the lack of something constitute hunger for the thing you lack? This abstact kind of hunger seems to be what keeps people going. It's their NEED for something or at least the lack of it. A writer would have a creative need, so would an artist or any creative performer. A drug addict would in this sense have a "hunger" for drugs, and a adrenaline addict would have a "hunger" for working or excitement. It's not really a bad thing, but it can be bad. It can be the fuel that fires corruption but it can also be the fuel that fires good spirit and positive motivation.

Abstract hunger is fascinating.
