The Change of My Life

all throughout my freshman and sophmore years of highschool, i was on our school's dance team. now at first it seemed really scary, but once i got out there it all seemed to just flow together.

the day of my first tryouts was the longest day of my life. i remember my mom being so excited that i was trying out. my sister had been on the team too, and she had loved it. tryouts were not what i had thought they would be; they were so much easier! the routine went as followed, we ran for five minutes, we streched, and we did conditioning. then at long last we got to learn the routine.

much to my surprise i had actually made the team, by doing something i loved doing. as the year went on we learned how to build confidence, determination, and how to execute moves properly. the team helped me discover new friendships that i had always been to shy to uncover.

at the end of my freshman year, however, we recieved a call that dance might be canceled. dance was something i could not live without. so i went to the hearing with some of the other girls in support of our team.

so many things were running through my head that night " what if dance gets canceled?"
"what if i close up in my little shyness hole and never approach anyone again?"
"what if because dance was canceled, i become like uncle jeremy and never get married?!"

these were things i could not live without so i fought for my team, and thank goodness its still here today. without it i dont know where i would be.
