Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

A Hard Test

We file into the classroom one by one
our thoughts on all the topics we have done
The teacher sitting high upon the stage
states students you may now turn over page

my mind in panic mode, I cannot read
why did my teachers' lessons I not heed
The words a hazy blur before my eyes
my stomach full of flutter,butterflies

I force my mind to calm and breathe in deep
and try hard to forget I could not sleep
so many facts were running through my mind
exams,a fact of life, seem so unkind

I start to read and then let out a sigh
for topics not revised then meet my eye
As I read on ,I find some that I know
and start to write as fast as I can go.
