"This post is a Grab Bag which uses the following words: even, scornfully, catch phrase, fake, stability"

The Rossi Family 1

Juno smoothed out the blanket across the bed, making sure it was even and neat against the pillows. She did this every morning, made sure the bed was neat before drawing back the curtains and sitting the middle of the bed. She'd let Claude do it, but even though he went to bed after her he always woke up before her, off doing something else. She didn't mind, she liked laying there and every time she'd ask Claude to do something remotely involved with cleaning he would look at her scornfully as if she'd just threatened to murder everyone and claimed that Hitler's ideas were the best in the world.

The door creaked open, and speaking of the devil, he walked in, closing it behind him and watching her as she went over to the desk, pulling out her sketch book and pencils before taking her place in the middle of the bed. "Need something, Claude?" He didn't reply and she looked up, dropping the pencil down and watching him. "What are you up to?"

"Is that your new catch phrase?" He asked, a smirk tugging at his lips. "What makes you think I'm always up to something?"

"Because you always are," She retorted, watching him. "I hope you aren't planning on bothering Louis, he honestly has enough anger without you provoking it all the time."

"I am not! I'm hurt, darling, I really am," Her brother's voice was thick with fake concern as he walked over to her, dropping down on the bed next to her. "Maybe he needs so pills. Get some stability. What are you planning on drawing anyways?"

"Roses," She answered, watching him take the sketch pad from her hands and flip through the pages. "They're growing in the garden for the first time this year. My drawing's improved since last year, I thought they'd come out better since last year. Those ones looked like red blobs."

"They really didn't, they looked wonderful," He answered, closing the book and handing it back to her. "You also look quite lovely, today. Planning something?"

"I wasn't planning anything," She said, smiling lightly. He raised his eyebrows and leaned forward, giving her a soft kiss before getting up and walking to the door.

"I'll plan something then, it's what I do best," Claude replied, opening the door and disappearing before she could say anything else.
