Sunburn
Pain unlike any other,Yesterday's fun now just a dream,
For I forgot to smother
My skin with protective cream.
In the sun so warm and kind
I spent my careless days
Skin exposed, I paid no mind
To the treacherous UV rays.
And now I sit so still,
For movement brings only pain.
Of the sun I have had my fill
I'd gladly welcome rain.
