Alphabet Soup - U
A shield when the sun is bright.A water repellent when rain drops fall.
A color based on like and dislike.
A weapon, if needed, especially at night.
A cover up when the wind stirs afright.
A tool of convenience when you need a steady post.
It can be subtle and hidden from site.
Keeping track of it is quite a task.
It's fun to play with, when needed for amusement.
It's frustrating when tangled on a windy day.
It's fragile wires are easy to disarray.
No doubt this object comes in handy.
In ill weather indeed it's a dandy
