When the moon’s out I dream your lips are right above my chin,When the sun comes I dream we dance in vacant carpeted rooms,
But when I wake I can’t tell the difference.
So I go to the kitchen and settle for a cup of coffee.
A spectacular morning that gives no way for tears.
You and I are you and I,
Whatever changes, whatever grammatical errors,
We’re always going to be you and I.
In my dreams I have more,
But in reality I have more than enough.
After all you’re still in my heart,
And I’m still your friend,
My dreams will forever give a glimpse of you and I
If in time I wake to someone else’s face, my dreams will remind me of yours
But nonetheless love, you and I are just you and I…
wherever we may be, we'll always be you and I.
