Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

"I wrote this with my friend. Yeah, she did most of the work."

At the Zoo

I see them, the people. Looking at me with curiosity. They seem fascinated with my white coat and tawny black stripes. I'm looking at them, the people, with my orange venomous eyes. What do they see in me? What do I see in me? I'm just another white tiger trapped in glass cage. Children walk by, pressing there snotty little noses against the cool surface and mumble as they pass, "Look, ma." Others are pointing at me, dragging their parents closer. Am I really that interesting? I'm really that intriguing? I'm pretty bored here. Only thing to do is pace. Look. There. A fat. Child. With a lollipop. He runs from his mother and tosses the candy into my cage and barely misses my fur. I curiously sniff at it. Is this supposed to amuse me? Pathetic! I roll my topaz eyes. Just another day at the zoo.
