"This post is a Grab Bag which uses the following words: leaning, silently, freezer"
Chill Out!
Leaning against the porch rail,lathered in sweat and slowly smouldering,
I grasped at every futile attempt by the world above
to produce some facimile of a refreshing wisp of air.
It continued heavily and stiflingly stagnant,
so I retreated inside in dripping defeat
... Totally Disgusted!
Longing for the joyful burst of relief
that could only come from sinking my teeth
into the icy, sweet triple-rush of those Bomb Pops,
I listened for the beckoning hum of the freezer.
It remained silently and rudely compliant
with the outage and I too melted
... Completely Depleted!
