The following is a piece of writing submitted by Brian Sloan on September 22, 2014
"This had the potential to be a good poem after the first line but then I totally sunk it by hamming it up to the letter of the prompt's word."
Silent Night
On silent feet I stealthily slithered down the stairs,Slipping shoes over stockings and sleuthing towards the door;
Supplicating the squeaking would be swallowed before
Striding southward and sucking in free air.
Shoes strike street since sound no more
Should shatter sleuthful schemes
Employed to satisfy saccharine dreams:
Sweet nothings sinfully longed for.
