Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

The following is a piece of writing submitted by Laura on July 3, 2008

Perennial

I do not want the annual touch
Of wild flowers in colors fair,
Which die in throes of vanity
To shoot their pollen through the air.

But rather, when you take my hand,
Hold tight to those perennial dreams;
Think carefully before you grasp -
But once you do, do not recede.
