'Now remember Kay, our future has been hung together by a bet. All I can say to this is to tell you not to ever worry about me. I will never leave you, nor ever fade away to the slightest degree. I plan on always writing you, as well as any other forms of conversation. But can you do me a favor? Please don't pull a "Dear John" stunt and break my heart... that'd be so uncool ha... but seriously'

I keep re-reading this
Playing over the sequence in my mind
'I will never leave you, nor ever fade away to the slightest degree.'
You did
You left me, and you did fade away
What were you thinking?
That I would just start over without you in my life?
Like it was no big deal?
Well there were times I needed you, and I couldn't do anything to communicate with you
I would re-read your letters
Wondering, crying, thinking of what I did wrong
What I did that was so wrong for someone just to up and leave me behind
I had self-esteem issues
I barely had any friends
And the person I thought I could really trust just left me
Thats a perfect recipe for a heartbreak
I don't know if I want to see you again
I think it'll just hurt more
Just to know that I'd be taking you back into my life
And patch up the scars you left behind
