Favorite Season in Seattle

Since I live in Seattle, the best season of the year is summer, hands down. If you have not had the opportunity to visit Seattle, be sure to take one and do it in the summer. Seattle has a worldwide reputation for rain, and that reputation is well-suited. But many people are not aware of what happens to the weather in Seattle between Independence Day and Labor Day.

After July 4, the sun comes up and stays. Since we are so far north, it stays AND stays. It doesn't set until after 9.

After Juy 4, the weater warms up to a pleasant 75 degrees and remains that way thanks to our location that gives up a temperate marine climate.

Because of all the rain we get the rest of the year, the plants stay lush and vibrant. You won't see fields of dry, brown grass out here. Flowers bloom all summer. There is a beautiful mix of full-shaped deciduous and evergreen trees.

From almost all of the high hills of Seattle, you can see breattaking mountain and water views. Sunlight reflects off the waters of Lake Washington, Lake Union, and Puget Sound. The Cascade and Olympic Mountain Ranges are peaked with snow year-round. And best of all, Mount Rainier emerges from its cloud over. Its magistic presence leaves any visitor in awe.

Seattle is full of free waterfront and wooded parks. People of all ages and backgrounds flock to them in the summer. There's boating, hiking, swimming, walking, kite-flying, jogging, running, soccer, ultimate frisbee, pick up basketball, roller-blading, picknicking, and loads of people watching to do. If you watch carefully, there are eagles and hawks to spot. Sometimes even whales.

If you suffer from hot and humid summers, consider taking break in Seattle. We'd love to have you visit.
