I'm Sorry

This is one I have written for my wife (she hasn't heard it yet). We have been playing music together for 24 years and been married for 22. She is an amazing singer, mother and wife. I haven't always been the best husband in the world and this was something I did for her. While the words "I'm Sorry" aren't ever mentioned in the song, the whole thing is to let her know that I am just that....Sorry for the things I have put her through in my younger days. I've said before on here that every song doesn't have to be so personal, but this is not one of those. It's about as personal as I can get.

Verse 1:

Yesterday morning she crawled right out of bed
Stumbled to the kitchen looking for that first day's cigarette
She asked me if I had seen that old paperback she loves to read
No the end don't hold no surprise.....
She cries, cries..... Everytime

Verse 2:

Yeah it's been a little while since she got to do
The thing that she loves so much and that's
Playing her songs for you.
Some say when she opens her mouth
It sounds just like the Angels sing
