Alphabet Soup - T

the autobiography of the letter T
(as told to the letter Y)

Considering how old I am, I've had a fabulous life. Look at all I've accomplished. I'm in every language known to man dating back to olden times. I'm in every book ever written. Heck, i'm probably even in this sentence. I'm even a beverage--if that's not saying your something big, well i don't know what does. I've always been popular with kids. I'm usually one of the first letters the kiddies learn. Although, for the longest time, outside of the schoolhouse, nobody was really talking about me. I was really down in the dumps about it-- both me and the whippersnapper. You young kids call him lowercase t. Then we had a bit of a resurgence. That Sesame Street was a brilliant idea. Ieven sponsored a few shows, you know. When they say "this show was brought to you by the Letter T"--well that's me. Can't say I care for that Oscar character to much, awfully grumpy. The bird is okay, though. Friendly sort. Awfully tall. Shortly after that I got approaced by some fella looking to do a show called Wheel of Fortune. At first i didn't think to much of it, but since it got all of the old gang together--R, S, L, N, & E-- i thought why not? Turned out to be a swell gig and that Vanna is a nice girl. Not bad for this old letter, not bad!
