Becoming Obese

I'm not sure when I noticed how fat I was getting. It certainly didn't happen all at once. I used to be slim, trim, and speedy. I didn't just have stamina for the long haul, I was like the quarter horse, that could win the race on a sprint.

But something changed over the years. I got lazy. I got overconfident. I thought it didn't matter how I looked, or quickly I ran, because - let's face it - I was in a class by myself; there simply was no competition.

And so, bit by bit, the lethargy and the indifference set in. I began to get more klutzy and cumbersome, bigger and slower, ballooning outward with a horrible obesity.

Now look at me. Preponderous and practically useless. Mocked and disdained, ignored by all who once made me part of their everyday life.

Oh, Microsoft, please help me, quickly, before Firefox and Chrome completely take over and I go from obese to obsolete!
