Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

The following is a piece of writing submitted by Sara Taylor on February 24, 2008
"I guess you could say I was going through a lot...but...as always, God always pulls through. So here it is."

Hope for Tomorrow

I try my best to run
but I always tend to slip
I try to hold on tightly
but I always lose my grip
I try to hang on solid
but I just fall right to the ground
I try to yell my lungs out
but no one hears a sound
I try holding onto everything
I once thought was important
but then I lost everything
and I feel like an orphan
everyone promises to be there
but in the end I'm always alone
and no matter how much I cry
my heart's still as hard as stone
I'm in the darkest valley
and I cannot see the light
I try to make peace
but to get peace you have to fight
then you reached out your hand
put an end to my sorrow
with the light you shine ahead
there's finally hope for tomorrow
