Judah went into a store and purchased 5 candy bars and 7 notebooks for $25.50. Jake went into the same store and purchased 8 candy bars and 2 notebooks for $14.10. Later, they compared their receipts, and realized that the clerk had cheated Judah by charging him x cents extra for each candy bar, and 10x cents extra for each notebook.
When they realized the error, Judah went back to the store and demanded justice. The clerk apologized and gave Judah an extra notebook and an extra candy bar. Judah then demanded 30 more cents, and after it was given, they agreed that the transaction was fair.
If justice was truly served, how much did Judah originally pay for a single notebook?
